Pont Tibetà Canillo, Andorra – The Tibetan Bridge, it’s the latest nature sensation that the land of mountain landscapes and ski resorts, Andorra, has just inaugurated.
When staying in Andorra, enjoy what the mountains and nature offer is the best thing someone can do. If vertigo isn’t a word in your vocabulary, then the new Tibetan bridge at Canillo is for you. The 603 metres long structure, rises 185 meters from the ground at an altitude of 1,884 meters, which will allow you to live an incredible experience of freedom and nature adrenaline.
In this blog, we cover everything you need to know about the new wonder of the Pyrenees:
Pont Tibetà Canillo
The bridge was opened to the public at the beginning of June and is located in the parish of Canillo. Therefore, from its location, you can enjoy fascinating and breathtaking panoramic views of Vall del Riu, one of the most beautiful Valleys in Andorra.
The structure, characterized by its minimalist design, has a walkway suspended in the air that connects the two points of the valley. Since it is approximately 1 meter wide, it is only suitable for pedestrians. The bridge can support 600 people at a time, although it is estimated that 165 visitors per hour use it.
Apart from the Tibetan Bridge, a recommended suggestion is to combine the visit with the Mirador Roc del Quer since both attractions are relatively close. The Mirador Roc del Quer is a place hard to forget. Panoramic views that remain etched in your retina forever and that, in this case, are much more than that: enjoy the full experience of being suspended in the air, as if the Pyrenees were embracing you. This viewpoint is one of the most famous places in Andorra, you can’t miss it!
